ORDERS + SHIPPING

Orders placed Monday through Friday will be processed and shipped within 2-4 business days pending stock levels. Orders placed on weekends and stat holidays will be processed the following business day. You will receive a shipment confirmation email once your parcel has been packed and shipped.

- Prior to packing, each item is individually inspected to ensure it has no damage/defects and showcases the custom, handcrafted, artisanal feel it is meant to
- Each item is then carefully packaged before being handed to one of our shipping services
- All of our packages are shipped with tracking, delivery confirmation, and standard carrier insurance
- Orders may shipped in multiple packages depending on product availability and destination
- For your peace of mind and protection against shipping/delivery related damage, loss, and theft, we recommend including the Route Shipping Protection in your order. This option is included on all orders of up to USD 5000 at a minimal cost and is optional to purchase
- In the event your purchases total more than USD 5000, we suggest splitting your order to include the Route Shipping Protection Coverage
- Please note that we are not responsible/liable for any carrier mishandling, damage, loss, or theft if the customer opts out of the Route Shipping Protection

- We currently only ship to the United States, Canada, and the UK. Please contact us for shipping to other destinations
- For United States (lower 48 states) and Canada (all provinces except Yukon, Northwest Territories, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Nunavut), we are pleased to offer free shipping on orders over USD 75 and a flat shipping rate of USD 20 for other orders
- For the United States (Hawaii, Alaska, Other US Territories), Canada (Yukon, Northwest Territories, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Nunavut), UK, and other international destinations, shipping costs will be estimated at checkout based on order weight, volume, and shipping address. The actual shipping fees will be confirmed, and our team will be in touch with the final rate and any additional shipping payment required (or a refund to be issued)
- All our packages are shipped with tracking, delivery confirmation and standard carrier insurance
- We also request that you closely monitor your package as we are not responsible for any lost or stolen packages with confirmed delivery notice
- If a package is returned to us for any reason (e.g. incorrect address supplied by the customer, or left too long at the local post office for pick up), the order will be refunded to the customer minus the cost of shipping. In case of free shipping, the actual cost of shipping will be deducted as we are charged by the shipping carrier regardless of whether the package was delivered or returned
- Please note that we are unable to ship to PO Boxes at this time

- United States: Orders are shipped via Canada Post, Fedex, or UPS. Delivery may take up to 7 days
- Canada: Orders are shipped via Canada Post, Fedex, or UPS. Delivery may take up to 5-10 days. Delivery to remote provinces/cities may take slightly longer
- UK and International: Delivery times will be shared once our team reaches out with the confirmed shipping method and cost
- While we will do all we can to ensure your order is delivered on time, we cannot be held responsible for conditions beyond our control such as severe weather, service interruptions, global supply chain issues, and other disruptions that may impact delivery.

All our packages are shipped with tracking and delivery confirmation.
We request that you closely track your package as we are not responsible for any lost or stolen packages with confirmed delivery notice. In the event that you cannot find the package despite confirmed delivery by the shipper/carrier, we suggest the following:
- Carriers occasionally mark packages as 'delivered' before they drop them off. Please contact your carrier if more than 2-4 hours have passed since you received a delivery notification
- Check any covered areas, porches, or with neighbours before contacting the carrier about a missing package
- If you still cannot locate your package but have purchased Route Shipping Protection, please contact their support at Route Support to start a claim

- As we aim to fulfill orders promptly, we are unable to guarantee that orders can be canceled or adjusted once placed. However, please reach out to us within 24 hours of placing the order and we are happy to discuss the options available for your scenario if the order has not been packaged/shipped
- We will be unable to cancel or change the order after 24 hours of placing the order
- In case of unexpected scenarios, we reserve the right to cancel an order at any time for any reason and will keep you updated

- United States: US orders will not be charged sales tax, but may be subject to customs fees and/or duties, which is the responsibility of the customer
- Canada: Taxes are charged based on the Canadian shipping address. Canadian orders will be charged provincial sales tax rates
- UK and International: Please note that we are unable to provide rate quotes for customs fees, duties, or taxes as they vary by country and the goods purchased. The customer is responsible for these additional costs, which may be incurred based on the final shipping destination
RETURNS + EXCHANGES

- As we aim to fulfill orders promptly, we are unable to guarantee that orders can be canceled or adjusted once placed
- We will be unable to cancel or change the order after 24 hours of placing the order OR if it has been packaged/shipped. Please reach out to us within 24 hours of placing the order and we are happy to discuss the options available for your scenario
- Once you receive your order, we will accept returns/exchanges on all unused items with original tags and packaging within 14 days of the delivery date (excluding sale and ineligible items)
- You will be responsible for the cost of return shipping (this may include any cross-border fees or taxes)
- We recommend reusing the boxes and packaging materials that shipped with your products for your returns. Please ensure your items are packaged well to eliminate any damage during transit. We also strongly recommend selecting a tracked service with shipping insurance for all returns
- We are not responsible for any return/exchange items that are lost or damaged in transit. All items will be inspected on receipt to ensure they are in resalable condition
- All items will be subject to a 15% restocking fee. The original shipping or delivery fees (if paid on the order) are non-refundable
- To process an exchange, we recommend initiating the returns process per our policies for the existing item(s) and completing a new order for the replacement item(s)
- We reserve the right to decline returns or exchanges not made in compliance with our policy

Please review our Return and Exchange Policy prior to initiating a return. To initiate a return, please contact us support@anekdotehome.com with the following information:
- Copy of the order confirmation showing the order number and items purchased
- List of items to be returned
- Reason for return
- Photo of each product being returned and its packaging
- Photo of the packing slip included with your order
- Any additional information and/or photos to support the request
Your email should be titled (i.e., email subject line) : Return Request - Order #
We will promptly review your request, verify your return eligibility, and share the return/exchange information (such as return mailing address) via email.

Once you receive an email from us confirming your return eligibility along with the return shipping address, please follow the following steps to return your item(s):
- Save the box(es) and packaging your order was shipped in and utilize them to repack each of the items carefully and securely
- Please ensure your items are packaged well to eliminate any damage during transit. Use additional packing materials if needed
- On the original packing slip, mark the items that are being returned (i.e., circle or highlight) and place it in the box(es)
- Seal the box(es) securely while checking to make sure there is no damage to the box(es) that needs fixing/replacing before shipping
- Purchase and securely attach the return shipping label (preferably enclosed in the shipper’s plastic jacket) to the box(es). Cover or remove any old shipping labels
- Please take a photo of the packed box(es) and the shipping label prior to handing the package over to the shipper
- Once the return package is accepted by the shipper, reply to our confirmation email and include the photo of the packed box(es), shipping label, and tracking number(s)
- Track your return to make sure we get it. Once we receive and inspect the items, your refund will be issued in accordance with our Return and Exchange Policies

Refunds will be made in accordance with our Return and Exchange Policy.
All refunds will only be made to the payment method (e.g. credit card) used for the original purchase. It may take up to 14 days from the date we have received and accepted your return for your payment method to be credited.

Select items cannot be returned or exchanged, and are final sale.
Products such as Gift Cards are always final sale and are not refundable as noted under the product details. Additionally, Route Shipping Protection (if purchased) is non refundable once the order has been dispatched/shipped (which triggers the Route protection coverage).
Other products may be part of a promotional or specific purchase events from time to time and will be marked as such.

Each of our items are handcrafted by skilled artisans in small batches using natural and recycled materials (such as wood, marble, stone, horn, brass, cotton, wool). No two products are expected to be identical and may display variation in colour, finish, and feel.
In addition, prolonged exposure to light and temperature changes may affect the appearance of your merchandise over time.
These characteristics and variations are part of the natural charm and make our products truly unique and one of a kind.

Each item is handmade by skilled artisans from a variety of natural and recycled materials. To ensure your item continues to look and perform as new, please review and follow the care instruction for each item. Feel free to reach out to us for any questions!

Our suppliers have rigorous quality control processes in place before products are shipped to Anekdote. Please note that each handmade product exhibits unique character and variation, which part of its natural charm.
Each product is individually inspected on receipt from our supplier and prior to shipping to you, to ensure the items you receive represent the unique characteristics you would expect from our brand.
In the rare case, the item is not what you envisioned, please contact us at support@anedotehome.com within 24 hours of delivery (along with pictures of the product and packaging) to initiate a return or exchange.

Route Shipping Protection offers 100% carbon offsetting, shipping protection (shipping/delivery related damage, loss, and theft), and dedicated support. While optional, this protection is included on all orders at a minimal cost (approx. 2% of order value) and protects your order with up to USD 5000 of coverage for any one package or shipment.
